ABSTRACT
The Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) is a ministry that has the task of organizing and in charge of domestic affairs for the implementation of state governance in the social field. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the influence of placement and career development on performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The population is employees taken proportionally with a sample size of 146 respondents. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis with the help of SEM. The results showed that placement and career development had a positive and significant effect on performance through employee job satisfaction at the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The findings of this study found that the presence of employees as one of the triggers of low performance given the low effectiveness of employees in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.
